Here I am, dealing with my annual pilgrimage to the States. First stop Chicago, almost a second home to me after having collaborated for years with the local skateboard company Affiliate Skateboards. And i obviously had to pay a visit to Uprise Skateshop, owned by my good friend Uriah Ruta.

In the COMVERT HQ offices, located in Via Scipio Slataper 19, Milano, we will hold on Friday 3rd, Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th July, a workshop with Marianna Santoni, Adobe guru in Photoshop for photography. Hours will be 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm each day.

On Interni 53, special issue attached to Panorama, they just published a review on COMVERT HQ. This week the work on the bowl site slowed down a bit due to some building components not easy to produce… and the Polish worker (a.k.a. Marcin Solecki) being injured at the Parco Lambro skatepark. Nothing too serious and he’ll be back on board soon. On the other hand Giuliano Berarducci joined us to document the site with pictures beside working on a couple of parallel projects that sound pretty interesting.
Giuliano is the founder of the roman skateshop First Love, creator of the fanzine OrangeValleyEnt and he takes quality skatebording shots since 2001. He is one of the few Italian photographers that sport pictures published on Skateboarder, Thrasher and The Skateboard Mag. When he is not stuck in Milano he works for Affiliate in Chicago.
