<p>A four hands project from <a href="http://www.riseabove.it/" target="_blank">Rise Above</a> and <a href="http://www.scarful.com/pages/" target="_blank">Scarful</a> on iconology, in collaboration with Profile Expo &amp; Grab Magazine.</p>
<p>The two roman artists realize a multidisciplinary concept in which they describe themselves today, through simbologies in classical culture, encoded four hundred years ago by Cesare Ripa, che fin dal 1593 rationally classifies the numerous allegories and simbologies layered up in centuries of cultural history.</p>
<p>Figures coming from classicism, religion, philosophy as well as arts, crafts or simple popular traditions, reviewed in an encyclopedical work in which in which figures and oggetti simbolici vengono accorpati e rielaborati con sapienza.</p>
<p>An impressive overview of iconographic figures, each one describing a modus, a virtue, a phisical or mind place , an attitude or character.</p>

<p>Here below the customized shades by Olimpia Zagnoli, Scarful and Cento Canesio for the <a href="../2010/06/04/electric-art-shade-expo-bastard-store/"><em>Art Shade Expo</em></a> at bastard store.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.bastard.it/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/olimpia-electric2.jpg" target="lightbox[7741]"><img class="alignnone size-large wp-image-7822" title="Olimpia Zagnoli - Hardknox" src="http://blog.bastard.it/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/olimpia-electric2-560x373.jpg" alt="" width="182" height="121" /></a><a href="http://blog.bastard.it/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/scarful-electric2.jpg" target="lightbox[7741]"><img class="alignnone size-large wp-image-7823" title="Scarful - Detroit" src="http://blog.bastard.it/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/scarful-electric2-560x373.jpg" alt="" width="182" height="121" /></a><a href="http://blog.bastard.it/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/cento-electric2.jpg" target="lightbox[7741]"><img class="alignnone size-large wp-image-7820" title="Cento Canesio - Hardknox" src="http://blog.bastard.it/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/cento-electric2-560x373.jpg" alt="" width="182" height="121" /></a></p>
<p>Olimpia brings her colorful universe, overpainting every corner of her <a href="http://www.electricvisual.com/products/sunglasses/mens/bpm/" target="_blank">BPM</a> shade, including lenses.</p>
<p>Scarful worked on the surface, drilling and digging a pair of <a href="http://www.electricvisual.com/products/sunglasses/mens/detroit/" target="_blank">Detroit</a> with a Dremel and other sharp tools.</p>
<p>Cento Canesio gave birth to a bicolor version of the <a href="http://www.electricvisual.com/products/sunglasses/mens/hardknox/" target="_blank">Hardknox</a>, applying his iconography on it through a thin black marker on gray spraypaint.</p>

<p>Last night we attended  the <a href="http://www.freshngood.com/?p=4227">Blacknuss presentation</a>, which is an awesome, handfinished, illustration book curated by <a href="http://www.giorgiodisalvo.com/">Giorgio Di Salvo</a>, one of the two minds behind <a href="http://www.bastard.it/prodotti/jammin.php#vngrd">VNGRD</a>, with whom bastard actively collaborates.</p>
<p>You&#8217;ll find inside the works of Erik Brunetti, Le Messie, Scarful, TJ, Pane, Giorgio Di Salvo as well as Marco Klefish and Luca Barcellona (aka Bean One), this last one featured in the bastard <em>Artistuff</em> collection with a <a href="http://www.bastard.it/prodotti/artistuff.php#luca-barcellona">graphic on global warming</a>.</p>
<p>If you want to get a copy the only way is writing directly to the curator: gds(at)giorgiodisalvo.com</p>
