Here some Rock ‘n Roll! I just hang the phone with Yari Copt, not only a good friend of mine, also one of the Lazy Riders, designer for bastard of the Warriors line and a f++kin rock star.
He just get back whit his band Those Furious Flames from Bulgaria were they played with Faith No More.
Now they are ready to shoot the new videoclip. So I put on this clip and i just want some Rock ‘n Roll.
It just come out the new song of our friends Nina Zilli with Giuliano Palma. This is just the first single. Music and lyrics are by Nina. The album, produced by Universal, will come out at the end of August and it will be a dope! Keep an eye on this girl, you will hear a lot about her!
The other day, me and my friend Nikki were talking about heavy metal movies, I suggest him to watch the movie of Anvil and he recommended me to watch Flight 666. It’s a Rockumentary about the last world tour, 23 concerts, 5 continents in 45 days! But is not an “on the road” kind of movie, they flew a board of the Ed force one, a Boeing 757 with the singer of the band Bruce Dickinson as a pilot… I can’t call it an “eco friendly tour”, over 50000 miles, but more frendly than the Pope for sure! The Maiden are playing around since 1975 and, in the last tour they brought their energy everywhere. It’s something really close to religion for some of the Iron Maiden fans. Some of them wait for all their lifes just to see one of them shows. I cried. Click here to watch the movie.
We take pride in pubblishing this picture shot by Notawonderboy!
The man in the middle of the picture, wearing the black leather jacket, is indeed also sporting an old bastard t-shirt. He is P. Paul Fenech, guitar and vocal of The Meteors, British psychobilly band!
Visit deezer if you want to listen the sound of The Meteors.
Visit notawonderboy for more pics about the concert.
Obviously, a box of Billy tees is on the way for them!
Last night we checked out the “Those Furious Flames” in concert, leaded by Yari Copt, who’s also captain in charge of the Lugano skate crew “Warriors“, and owner of the local skateshop “The Joker Shop“.
The event was promoted by Vans and featured two other bands: “Dragoni” and “Miasma”.
Beautiful location, Lido Lugano, with plenty of good people and chilled out by the lake’s fresh breeze, something we can only dream of out here in Milano!
Things learned: that Lugano and Zurich are two different places, that Yari definetely rocks, and that switzerland is practically heaven on earth, i’d most likely raise my kids out there, as long as they don’t become junkies, or even worse, bankers! :)
Do you remeber Anvil? they are a thrash metal band from Canada that in the middle 80’s rocks the world like Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax etc… But they never become “rock stars” like the other bands. The movie is about Steve “Lips” Kudlow and Robb Reiner, their friendship and the dream they will never give up. It’s not only “rock n roll” it’s about heart and balls, about people who chose a way to live no matter what happen. Chlick here to watch the full movie.
Our friends Andrea & Nico finally comes out with a brand new EP.
We have been there for their most recent discographic commitments while working on the new bastard capsule collection so, what else to say? Congratulations!
Can’t wait for the next PINK IS PUNK live here in Milano..
..and it seems we don’t have to wait too much cause they’ll present live Friday the 15th of May at Magazzini Generali – second level!
In the while you could check their news page or our surfwear.
