Electric Art Shade Expo – bastard store
by davidelp 4 June 2010On Thursday June 10th, 6pm to 9pm, Electric presents Art Shade Expo at the bastard store in Milano.
Pick three artists, give’em a pair of Electric shades each and wait for their own custumize version.
The artists we picked for the italian edition are Olimpia Zagnoli, Scarful and Cento Canesio.
Olimpia Zagnoli was born in Reggio Emilia in 1984.
She moves to Milano where she graduates at IED school. Soon after she starts working for several magazines in Italy and abroad. Her clients include the New York Times, the New Yorker, il Corriere della Sera, Feltrinelli, Io Donna.
Alessandro Maida a.k.a. Scarful was born in 1968 and he’s a Rome based artist and designer. After his artistic and university studies in Architecture and Design, he became interested in all things pertaining to graphics/illustration and lettering and began working as a graphic artist, creating the Hateful Graphic Vandals collective (1995) together with other writers/artists from the Roman scene. This brought about his first graphic creations under the name of Scarful. He is a member of the WHY STYLE group, together with artists Joe, Nico, Pane and Stand, with whom he has taken part in exhibitions and events since 2003.
Cento Canesio, artist from Veneto born in 1974.
Since 1989 he started being influenced by the skateboarding, writing and the music scene that came along.
He’s already collaborated with: Lobster, Vans, Strange skateboards and bastard.
