Last saturday, in the afternoon, while we were taking photographs with Whatza, Lollo Barbieri and Matteo Zappaterra came to the bastard store during their TreB Camp promotion tour in Milan.
TreB Camp is a snowboard camp where real pro snowboarders are instructors. Lollo and Zappa are part of the TreB staff and they will teach you how to snowboard properly, from basic tricks to big jumps.

It’s time for snowear

by vecho 7 November 2011

Lukas Goller is a visionary hippie with a thick german accent who has dedicated a big part of his life to snowboarding and the mountains. His brain is a volcano of ideas and his bohemian attitude makes him have a sensitive and focused point of view on the most different aspects of reality.
His sober madness, in contrast with the rationality and the experience of the long time designer/skater/snowboarder Andrea Vecchi has created the the new fw11-12 snowear collection signed by bastard: an orgy of essential lines, functional designs and revolutionary ideas.

by davidelp 7 November 2011

The new RandomVideo teaser came out on time as usual. Randomite, this is the name of the video, will be out in fall 2011 featuring the videoparts of Whatza and Lukas Goller.
What a pleasure for me to see Lukas jumping with the Salmon board we gave him last winter for a test, it seems to work very good!

Positivity 2011

by davidelp 7 November 2011

The 2011 edition of Positivity camp takes off tomorrow. The Positivity Camp is a non-profit snowboard camp located in the most exclusive resort in the Alps; it takes a good couple of hours of mountain path walking to reach it. But when you reach the camp you’ll be alone in a breathtaking location, Val Formazza, with a private skilift and a snowpark that gets shaped everyday.

Drones in Bosco Gurin

by davidelp 7 November 2011

Mattia Molnar has finally found the perfect way for filming his Bosco Gurin sessions.

Simple, handy, affordable and ecologic; the drone (the unidentified flying object close to Mattia) allows the same filming angles of an helicopter but without the noise, it’s incredibly small and it doesn’t need gasoline to fly. Basically you can produce breathtaking footage without bothering nobody.

Good job Mattia, always caring for nature and others.

Whatza, Click on the Mountain 2011

by davidelp 7 November 2011

I think that local Monte Bianco ski mountaineers were looking couriously to a guy wearing an hawaian shirt climbing through glaciers and rifts.
Despite his unsual outfit, Whatza won the best snowboard photo contest at the Click On The Mountain 2011, killing two birds with one stone as he was testing the next year snowear.

A complete report by Andrea Giordan on the next issue of Snowboard Mag.

Electric rules at Winter X Games Europe

by davidelp 7 November 2011

Electric riders got the job well done at the Winter X Games Europe in Tignes.
Chas Guldemond not only took home Gold, also he took home the highest score in X Games history with 99.33 out of a 100.

On the ladies side
Jamie Anderson took home another Gold medal to add to her collection.
Enough? Not yet because Cheryl Maas was in Women’s Slope, and although she did not make it to the podium, she did land the first ever 900 in a Women’s Slope competition.

bastard snowboards

by maxb 7 November 2011

bastard starts off in 1994 as the first italian snowboard company entirely dedicated to freestyle and freeride.

The first line consisted in only two boards and a tiny clothing selection, expanding in the years to follow, especially for the clothing.

Throughout the years we kept our production in Italy, although the competitors were becoming more aggressive in terms of price, especially by using factories located in eastern Europe, Africa or Asia.

There are snowboarders that may care to know that the money they paid for their board was actually used to buy the best materials and not to finance expensive ad campaigns.

And some other also care to know that there still is a small factory outside of Milan, that manufactures boards using the latest technologies, with guaranteed precision and uniformity that up until a few years ago were only achievable with equipment dedicated for serial productions.

Topping it off with the craftsmanship and a meticulous approach to production we are able to obtain a superior non industrial type of product.

The type of snowboarder that appreciates all this is who we address to, because that’s exactly how we are.

Here below the new boards, Fishing Club collection, designed by our graphic designer Davide, who is way too much into fishing.
