Habitat Skate Contest

by davidelp 21 July 2010

As usual the Street Survival, association that manages the Habitat Skatepark in Arezzo, has held a nice contest.

The park got completely renewed for the occasion with particular care for the street area.

The event was a best trick contest, dividing the competition in 3 rounds, corresponding with the 3 areas of the park. The jackpot of euros 1500 was supposed to be split on 3 best tricks with a price of 500 each. The level of the tricks put the judges in a tough spot, making them change their minds for 6 prizes instead.

Ale Cesario and Adam Walker win in the first area, Cristian Sirica Boccia and Federico Ghigo Borchi win in the second area.

The third area, the most aggressive one, sees Leonardo Tonioli and Marco Lambertucci as winners. Lambertucci seems to be on fire, basically winning a contest every other week. Keep up the good work Bauli!

A little bit of a typical Warriors roughness together with the polyhedral genius of Yari Copt gave birth to this clip to present the new shades that fit well with the clothing line developed with bastard.

Gli occhiali di Electric Art Shade Expo

by davidelp 21 July 2010

Here below the customized shades by Olimpia Zagnoli, Scarful and Cento Canesio for the Art Shade Expo at bastard store.

Olimpia brings her colorful universe, overpainting every corner of her BPM shade, including lenses.

Scarful worked on the surface, drilling and digging a pair of Detroit with a Dremel and other sharp tools.

Cento Canesio gave birth to a bicolor version of the Hardknox, applying his iconography on it through a thin black marker on gray spraypaint.

Positivity 2010

by davidelp 21 July 2010

An unbeatable remedy against the summer heat is taking off from the cities and hide for a week at Positivity Camp, in the enchanting Siedel glacier in Val Formazza, on the border between Italy and Switzerland.

It takes a good two hours walk to reach hut 3A, site of the camp. At Positivity you live the mountain life, you sleep in a mountain shelter dormitory to wake up in the morning enjoying the park with private skilift and you have Lollo Barbieri giving snowboard lessons. All of this without annoying lines for cablelines and whatnot, sweet…

By popular demand bastard sponsored afternoon snack comes back, on Saturday June 18th at hut 3A.

Positivity is a no profit camp and the proceeds mainly go to OMG, that manages the hut and invests in social activities in Italy and Latin America.

Warriors skateboards – Come Out To Skate trailer

by davidelp 21 July 2010

Warriors Skateboards, our favorite Lugano crew, announces with this trailer the upcoming release of their last video project Come Out To Skate. By knowing them and through this preview we know it’s gonna be hammer time… Watching this reminded me a little of Zero videos: they litterally make you hold your breath in between gnar tricks and gnar slams.

Since they have an active collaboration with the bastard JAMMIN’ Warriors Skateboards, on issue 26 of the bastard CataZine there is an article on them. Browsing through it you can come across, besides a few tasy images, the words of Yari Copt, deus ex machina of Warriors Skateboards, who shares his vision of the present skateboard business scenario.
