Launch Party #31

by jep 13 January 2012

On Wednesday January 11th we had a big party in our headquarters to present the new bastardElectricJartDVSLakai,  Matix and Makia Fall Winter 2012-13 collections and a brand new DealerZine, that represents a big step forward compared to the previous ones! During the party we also inaugurated the new binocle working space… unfortunately we couldn’t document the opening due to a generalized state of dumbness, partially related to an overall abuse of a freaking awesome unfiltered wine ;)

Ride Fast

by davidelp 13 January 2012

“We deliver a cleaner Milan”, is the motto of the folks at UBM, and we are proud to support the Urban Bike Messengers by designing the bastard UBM collection for them.
The Pawn gloves, for instance, were made following their requests and preferences, and if they’re good enough for them, who know it all too well about mileage on a bike, they’re certainly good enough for us.
Reflecting print on the knuckles, reinforced palm and comfy, anti-skid rubber for great grip on the handles, 100% neoprene fabric. Zero cold and tons of comfort.

And come on, let’s admit that riding around with Ride Fast printed on your knuckles actually does make you go faster… Read the rest of this entry »

The bastard fontables

by vecho 13 January 2012

Fontable is a project by designers Alessandro Canepa and Andrea Paulicelli: a new concept of modular elements that form tables using graphic signs; alphanumeric furniture as they call it.

Today they present their first special edition of fontable × bastard.

Tables are made from steel sheets with lacquered paint for indoor and outdoor use, with adjustable legs in painted iron that allow the overlapping and combination of table surfaces.
The Skulltable, that reproduces Ricky Fiorentini’s original skull design, and the Roundtable that reproduces the original round bastard logo have been created specifically for bastard.

Should you want to know more about the fontable world you can visit their website.

Freak out by Mike Parillo

by davidelp 13 January 2012

Freak Out is the name of the Electric capsule collection with the original art by Mike Parillo. A mix of symbols and visions from Mike’s personal mind.

Mike is an icon in the snowboard universe,he is respected as one of the leading artistic visionaries of the action sports industry. Mike has contributed substantial inspiration and essential work to major companies in the snowboard biz. It is safe to say, to some extent, that he formed the very artistic image of the brand, as he did with Lib Tech, where his name has always been connected with the graphic designs for Travis Rice’s models.

It’s time for snowear

by vecho 13 January 2012

Lukas Goller is a visionary hippie with a thick german accent who has dedicated a big part of his life to snowboarding and the mountains. His brain is a volcano of ideas and his bohemian attitude makes him have a sensitive and focused point of view on the most different aspects of reality.
His sober madness, in contrast with the rationality and the experience of the long time designer/skater/snowboarder Andrea Vecchi has created the the new fw11-12 snowear collection signed by bastard: an orgy of essential lines, functional designs and revolutionary ideas.
